Richard Jacobson's Art

Watercolors, Prints and Drawings

Richard grew up in Wisconsin and Alabama, studied Chemical Engineering and obtained a doctorate in that field from Caltech. He moved to Chester County in 1974 and was employed by Foote Mineral Company for twenty years where he became a Vice President and the General Manager of their Chemicals and Minerals Division. He has always had an interest in art and in the past few years he has actively pursued this interest. He has studied drawing and watercolor painting and has developed a love for painting the historic buildings and bridges of Chester County and the seascapes of Cape May. His distinctive style has been well received and currently he sells watercolor paintings and prints, focusing on the covered bridges of the Exton area and the lighthouses of the New Jersey seashore. Richard is active in the Cape May County Art League, the Philadelphia Watercolor Society, the American Watercolor Society and the Philadelphia Sketch Club.
